Theodore Roosevelt, often called ‘Teddy’, was the 26th President of the United States (1901-1909). He is remembered for his commitment to environmental conservation, being one of the most active presidents in creating national parks and wildlife reserves. He also advocated for the regulation of large corporations and monopolies through his ‘Square Deal’, promoting economic and social justice during his tenure.
